Happy Birthday Michael....
Here are a couple of memories of little Michael....
Michael was born on Jenny & Don's wedding day! That made it a really memorable day for all of us. We were able to go and see him that day.... he was such a handsome little boy!
A couple of years ago we went to Washington DC with Mike, Carrie and Michael. We had a great time! Michael, Stephen and Brad had fun swimming, looking through the stores, exploring the Smithsonian air & space museum etc...... The scariest part of the whole trip came when all of us went on the Metro to Union Station. It was really cool there. There was a huge line of people waiting for the train to New York. Just lots of things I had never seen before. We had dinner there and then started heading back to the Metro. We knew we were cutting it close so we were all running down the escalator. Michael was ahead of all of us and Mike was ushering all of us along. Well Michael jumped onto the train and just as all of us got there, the doors closed! We all just sat there.... Michael was on the train and the rest of us were still standing on the platform. Carrie just stood there with her hand over her mouth. I thought she was going to cry. If I was her, I'm sure I would have:). Anyway Mike leaned up to the glass on the door and said to Michael (loud) "Get off at the next stop"! Well it seemed like an eternity waiting for the next train and we were all pretty nervous hoping that he would be at the next stop...... after all, this was Washington DC! Anyway, we got to the next stop and Carrie headed for the door. Mike stopped her and told her to wait, that he would go get him. A couple of minutes later, Mike got back on with Michael in tow. We were all so relieved! But no one was more relieved than his mom.... she grabbed him and hugged him tight! So.... if nothing else, little Michael knows how to take care of himself! Happy Birthday again..... we love you and we hope you had a great day!
